Introduction time
Hey, isn't this a great procrastination tool?
As a creative person, I'm always trying to come up with new ways to procrastinate, especially when I can trick folks into thinking I'm writing. Well, blogging is writing, right?
I'm currently writing a romantic suspense novel. I've never written a novel before, so this is a big learning curve for me. This novel has been ... um ... maturing over several years. I've lost count of the number of times I've tried to outline it. I even did a short synopsis and six chapters. But I can't use those now because the story has changed so much it's unrecognisable from my initial scribblings.
Since doing some of Janie Harrison's workshops, I've come a long way and am actually excited about the story again. Even I can tell that my writing and my plot have improved.
Oh, you probably wonder who I am! I'm Elaine, single, English and :::whisper::: over 40. As well as writing, I enjoy papercrafts (greetings cards mostly) and it's great to turn to that when I feel blocked with my writing.

Hi Elaine,
Theresa here. Most of my online buddies call me T. Call me what every you want though, I answer to just about everything/anything.
sounds like we have a lot in common. Single, over forty, no kids here too.
No if you have a dog, or two--or even a cat, I'll be downright unnerved.
Writing curve wise, I'm just finishing up my second manuscript-- again Polishing the final two chapters. I am a terrible procrastinator too. I've hit the point though, were I can't do that any more. So I'm trying to train myself to work better.
Anyway--looking forward to getting to know you.
Theresa
