Thinking Positive Thoughts
What a blessing to read the lovely comments you've left for me. After feeling discouraged at my pitiful word count on Tuesday, I felt uplifted by your support. Thank you.
As if to prove how important a positive mindset is, I can report that today I wrote 1,608 words! These are not exactly words of my novel. They are words in my character arcs. So far I've only touched on two out of my six major characters.
I decided to look at the plot from each character's individual perspective and it's working out SO well. I almost have a mini synopsis.
I can't believe how helpful it is to do this with my characters. Seeing it from each perspective has given me new insights into the story itself. Suddenly I'm discovering subplots and plot points that had never occurred to me before and yet fit so perfectly.
It's so true what they say: character is plot.
This is my first novel and it's an adventure. I'm learning so much.
